  7. 1861 and Hungary equality with Austria 1867. 
  8. He was defeated in the Italian War 1859 and 
  9. the Prussian War 1866. In 1914 he made the 
  10. assassination of his heir and nephew, Franz 
  11. Ferdinand, the excuse for attacking Serbia, 
  12. precipitating World War I.
